Abstract

In this paper, after a short introduction on the use of the indexical “we”, I discuss Andronico’s stance on transcendental and empirical inter-pretations of “we” in the late Wittgenstein. Besides a fundamental agreement, I raise some doubts on her stance of considering “we” as the viewpoint of philosophical analysis. Although her interpretation is more solid than the previous ones, it runs the risk of forgetting the variety of uses of the expression “we” in Wittgenstein’s texts.
