Abstract

After long time spent in teaching the history of philosophy, I intend to show here some good reasons to support the classical (as opposed to the analytical) approach which, in my opinion, is still a fundamental moment in the intellectual education of the youth: both for the individual cognitive skills implemented by such intellectual exercise, and for the profitable connections that can be established with the places of collective knowledge, such as historical libraries.
