Starting from a Lectio by Romano Prodi, these pages focus on a potential – and hidden – aporia of the globalization process, made evident by the “Chinese case”. Given that the Chinese aspiring techno(-post)-democracy aims to be a governance of the global phenomena (primarily, the economic phenomenon) better than the democratic-liberal one, the question becomes: what are the real values that the globalization must convey?
