This article aims to investigate how the systematic instance that characterizes modern thought may have been translated into the musical aesthetic field by the French composer Jean Philippe Rameau in his “Traité de l’armonie”, in which he tries to give a systematic foundation to the emerging features of tonal music. During the analysis we saw how the reorganization of the musical elements attempted by Rameau was configured as a genesis of forms from the Principle, and how the tensive dialectic from which it results centralization of structures is constituted as an analogue of the modern Subject.
